Student Selection Criteria
- A high school from a partnering School District
- A student with leadership potential
- Recommendations by teachers, administration, and guidance counselors
- Ability to achieve 'B+' average by end of senior year
- At least 90% attendance in school
- Economic need
Student Commitment
- Maintain good academic standing
- Complete job shadowing, internship, and workshops
- Tutor 2 hrs. per week during the school year
- Complete 20 hour summer internship
- Active involvement in TSTT regional activities
- Promise to teach in a participating school district for one
year upon receipt of teaching credential
