Diversity in Education Forum: Teaching + Learning + Technology

Dear Friends,

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for our Diversity in Education Forum: Teaching + Learning + Technology, held at Westchester Community College, Thursday, September 29, 2016.

The evening was filled with rich dialogue. Our nationally recognized panel led by Dr. Leo Casey, of the Albert Shanker Institute, discussed real-life solutions for tackling the all too important challenge of the skills gap in the workplace. The audience heard a powerful message from Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), on the importance of addressing the skills gap issue and educating a highly competent, diversely rich, talented workforce pipeline. She highlighted a recent article in The American Educator, detailing the vital mission of TSTT and the formidable partnership between AFT and TSTT.

Our sincere thanks, to everyone, for supporting the event; whether you attended, made a donation, or sponsored a student to attend the event - the evening would not have been possible without your support.

Thank you to all our friends for your dedication to this critically important work.

With deep appreciation and gratitude,

Dr. Bettye Perkins,

President & CEO
